Part I and II are two consecutive Sunday afternoons spent in Seattle. Part II takes place in the Northern Cascades at the Ice Cave Trail about 90 min north of the city. A quick hike through rainforest (rainforest! practically in our backyard!) leads to ice caves formed by waterfalls flowing down the face of rock mountains and through the ice at the base.
